Titanium Lower Protection

Fork Armour is a layer of titanium alloy laminated to 3M closed cell foam that works to dissipate serious impact and minor scrapes. It is manufactured exclusively by Drift in England.

The toughness to weight ratio of titanium has been fully exploited in Fork Armour, 0.5mm titanium is used to ensure the maximum protection for minimum weight gain. The final appearance is a low profile fork protector which can be confused for an original decal.

So that rock you clipped in the last rock garden hits the titanium hard, really hard, but the titanium doesn’t split, it spreads the energy and transmits it into the foam where it is slowly  and safely passed into the forks via the lowers.

Tailored Fit

Each model of Fork Armour has been designed and formed to fit each different model of fork. As you can see, the addition of Fork Armour to any bike augments the appearance of the forks whilst protecting the performance. The wide variety of protrusions and casting shapes found on modern forks have all been considered and incorporated into the design.

No More Broken Lowers

Fork Armour is designed to make your season as a racer easier. We know that its not practical to change lowers during a season – and very expensive – but a professional appearance sets you apart and is important to your sponsors. With fork armour you can make sure your forks remain protected and looking good throughout a full season of racing.

We know that Fork Armour will take the brunt of up-lift damage and only requires an inexpensive – but tough – graphics change to restore your image to factory fresh – unlike a mashed pair of lowers.

Helicopter or Heli tape has been used for years in paint protecting duties for racers, however, we never felt that Heli-tape offered the anywhere near enough protection.

It does protect from light scratches but does nothing to keep the delicate cast lowers intact. We always see helitape with deep scuffs all the way through with bare metal showing through, Fork Armour prevents this happening.
